- fresh ginger 1 ½ tsp
- garlic 1 tsp
- honey 1 Tbsp
- sesame oil 1 tsp
- mirin 3 Tbsp
- water ¼ cup
- cornstarch 3 tsp

1Combine tamari , brown sugar , minced fresh ginger , minced garlic , honey , sesame oil , and mirin in a small saucepan .

2In a bowl , mix water with cornstarch .

3Add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan.

4Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 4 minutes .

5Remove from heat and let cool.

6Note: If using as a marinade, omit the cornstarch and let the sauce cool completely before using.
